Business Title: Senior Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator
Position Summary: The Senior (Sr.) Salesforce Business Analyst/Administrator is an essential member of the client's entrepenurial team and will serve as the primary application subject matter expert. This role will be relied upon to provide end user support and training, understand, and analyze business process and needs, and translate into system specifications. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, experience gathering requirements and understands that successfully delivering high-quality outcomes requires a collaborative effort with peers, users, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Provide end user support; troubleshoot and triage issues.
- Conduct project application training sessions remotely/ in-person to end users.
- Coordinate with end users, stakeholders, and IT staff.
- Solicit, gather, evaluate, and document information from various sources and stakeholders and break down high-level information into detailed requirements for system enhancements and/or workflow improvements.
- Map functional business requirements to Salesforce.com features and functionality.
- Understand business problems and optimize processes to ensure value process improvement and error reduction.
- Engage with Developers, Solution Architects, and other members of the IT delivery team to ensure systems meet business needs.
- To ensure application follows UI/UX principles to make the application intuitive and promote user adoption.
- Work with Product Owner to prioritize business needs.
- Assess requirements to produce wireframes/visual flows/process diagrams and/or fit gap analysis to devise options for solving business challenges.
- Build reports and dashboards as needed.
- Understand and adhere to best practices for process and data stewardship.
- Recommend continuous improvement enhancements to data and workflow processes.
- Engage in testing cycles (UAT, Regression and system).
- Prepare project specific documentation and deliverables (User stories, User Guides, Quick Reference Sheets, Train-the-Trainer, data dictionary, communication plan, test plans, etc.)
Position Requirements:
Salesforce Administrator certification required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum work experience: 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst/ Sr. Business Analyst/Administrator with end-to-end Salesforce or other cloud implementation.
- Minimum 3+ years working within all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with the Salesforce platform and/or custom Salesforce apps.
- At a minimum must possess an active Salesforce System Administrator Certification, other certifications are highly preferred.
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills, as well as accuracy and attention to details.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint.
Preferred Skills and/or Experience: Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant certification, highly desirable
- Experience working in JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
- Salesforce Business Analyst Certification, highly desirable
- Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder, is a plus
- Project Management experience, is a plus
- Experience working in a university setting and/or experience with technology commercialization and intellectual property management.
